To "partially fix" that, I did a Clean-Lubricate-Protect thing: First of all, Clean the carb. Use reputable stuffs such as STP carb spray cleaner. Spray that onto the carb’s linkages and into the carb’s throat  Lubricate and Protect with Slick50 -1Lube. Again, spray that onto all the carb’s linkages and into the carb’s throat.
